Praying for the Lumbard Family, First Church of the Open Bible and it's leaders, and All Who Mourn
Vision Statement
Hope is not the absence of grief... it is the confidence that God is present in the midst of it.
The passing of Pastor Jordan Lumbard has left an empty place in the hearts of his family, his church, and countless friends. While we grieve this tremendous loss, we do not grieve without hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Our hope is rooted in the unchanging character of God, His abiding presence, His sustaining grace, and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
We invite believers everywhere to unite in prayer for Lindsay, Madison, Maiah, Mackenzie, Mollie, the entire Lumbard family, First Church of the Open Bible, and all who have been touched by Pastor Jordan's life and ministry.
Each day we will seek God's comfort for the brokenhearted, wisdom for those leading the church, strength for the weary, peace for anxious hearts, and renewed hope for the days ahead. Together we will trust the Lord to carry His people, strengthen His Church, and continue the work that Pastor Jordan faithfully loved.
For forty days, let us stand together in prayer... believing that the God who has been faithful yesterday will remain faithful tomorrow.
Will You Stand With Us?
In moments like these, words are not enough... but prayer is powerful. We invite you to stand with us for 40 Days of Hope through intentional prayer and fasting. Together, let us lift up the Lumbard family, First Church of the Open Bible and its leadership, and all who have been touched by Pastor Jordan's life and ministry. May God strengthen the weary, comfort the brokenhearted, unite His Church, and fill every heart with the hope that comes through the power of the Holy Spirit.
*** Our Goal is to have 5 people fasting each day of the 40 days.
*** This Prayer Guide will help us draw together in unity of prayer.
Over the past weeks, many of us prayed earnestly for Pastor Jordan. Although his journey has now led him into the presence of the Lord, our calling to pray has not ended. Today, our prayers surround those he loved most. I invite you to stand with us for these 40 Days of Hope as we ask God to comfort, strengthen, and faithfully carry the Lumbard family, First Church of the Open Bible and it’s leaders, and all who morn through the days ahead. - Pastor Josh
