Zachary (Zac) Anderson is the newly appointed Open Bible Global Missions Missionary serving alongside the directors and staff of Puente de Amistad (Bridge of Friendship) in Tijuana, Mexico, our Open Bible short-term missions base. In this role, Zac will help lead teams and partners with local ministries and churches to reach the youth of Tijuana with the hope of Christ. Puente de Amistad has hosted hundreds of Open Bible church mission teams over the years, providing them with life-changing opportunities to serve and grow through missions.
Zac shares, “I know what it’s like to be ignored and feel unloved. My goal is to be the person someone feels comfortable talking to and to point them toward the Savior who changed my life.” Zac’s verse is Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your God.”
Upcoming Itineration
Subject: Hosting Zak During His Itineration
Dear Pastors and Leaders,
Zak will be with us in the East Region from September through December. Trae will be reaching out to schedule Zak for itineration so that you can host him at your church.
Missions is a core value of Open Bible, and as part of this family, it is important that each of our churches take part in hosting missionaries from time to time. This is more than just an event; it is a way of standing shoulder to shoulder with those who are answering the call to take the gospel to the nations.
Below are two helpful documents from Vince McCarty that explain how to best host a missionary during itineration. We will also be including a list of equipment that Zak will need in order to be successful on the mission field. Perhaps someone in your church family may feel led to help provide some of these items as a way of sowing into his ministry.
Thank you for your partnership in advancing the Great Commission. Together, we can ensure that our missionaries are encouraged, resourced, and sent with strength.
With appreciation,
Pastor Josh Grimes, Regional Executive Director.
