Why Fasting?
Jesus reminded His disciples that there are some battles that require a deeper pursuit of God. Prayer invites His presence. Fasting removes distractions and helps us surrender our hearts completely to Him. We are not fasting because God is unwilling to move. We are fasting because we desire to be fully aligned with His will and ready to receive what only He can do.
"This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting." Mark 9:29
