Because we believe in celebrating together as family we will be gather at Independence Oaks Park that offers 1,200 acres of natural beauty featuring a sandy beach and boat launch on Crooked Lake, kayak and canoe rentals, fishing, and swimming. Explore more than 12 miles of scenic hiking and biking trails with wooded paths and boardwalk wetlands. Enjoy playgrounds, picnic shelters, open green spaces. We will have volleyball, corn hole tournament, bounce houses, games for kids, and lunch will be provided. We will have something for all ages! Plan to come and enjoy a great day together outdoors. Key Note Speaker- Pastor Derek Sissel
Pastor Derek is a seasoned leader, visionary voice, and Spirit empowered communicator who carries both regional authority and pastoral warmth. He currently serves as the Mountain Plains Regional Director and as Lead Pastor of Reach Church Network in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Largo, Florida. For 25 years he has faithfully led churches, conferences, youth camps, leadership seminars, and church assessments with wisdom, clarity, and Kingdom focus.
Pastor Derek has proclaimed the gospel across 32 states and in 16 nations, bringing a message that is both biblically grounded and prophetically alive. Whether in a sanctuary, a conference hall, or a leadership gathering, he delivers a right now word that speaks directly to the moment and the people in front of him. His ministry is marked by relevance, spiritual authority, and a deep sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
He is no stranger to Open Bible. Pastor Derek has ministered in our region many times, and each time he has brought strength, encouragement, and fresh fire. For nearly four decades, Pastor Tim Bagwell has faithfully led Word of Life Christian Center with unwavering conviction, prophetic clarity, and a deep love for the presence of God. For 39 years, he has pastored a church known for proclaiming and demonstrating the love and power of God, a place where hungry hearts are fed the bold, uncompromising Word and transformed by the tangible demonstration of the Holy Spirit.
Under Pastor Tim’s leadership, Word of Life Christian Center became more than a congregation. It became a spiritual hub in the Denver metro area. In the fall of 2000, the ministry opened the doors to a 100,000 square foot, fourteen million dollar facility in Lone Tree, Colorado. Pastor Tim’s vision has always been clear. This house would be a tool to build the Kingdom and a dwelling place for the glory of God. From the north, south, east, and west, people have gathered to encounter the meat of the Word, the power of the Holy Ghost, and the transforming touch of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Tim began full time ministry in 1972 and has carried the mantle of a prophetic evangelist across the United States and into nations around the world. A third generation preacher, Pastor Josh began ministering to adults at the age of 13, preaching with boldness beyond his years. In his early twenties, he planted his first church in a rural community. What began as a step of faith grew into a vibrant, county wide ministry with a thriving congregation and a brand new facility serving the region. Later, he took on the challenge of revitalizing a struggling church, restoring health, momentum, and lasting fruitfulness.
Pastor Josh carries a genuine apostolic heart for pastors and the local Church. He is deeply committed to helping leaders rise into their God given potential and guiding congregations into the fullness of their Kingdom destiny. His ministry is marked by vision, passion, and holy fire that calls people higher while anchoring them firmly in biblical truth and spiritual authority.
