Ministerial Training
Preparation for ministry includes several components. Vocational ministry is not merely a vocation choice, it must begin with a call from God. The Lord uses a variety of means to prepare people for ministry. Life and ministry experience are of significant importance. No amount of time in the classroom can substitute for actual experience. Mentoring by seasoned ministers is also another aspect of preparation. Education must be recognized as of strategic importance to effective ministry. Though there are notable exceptions to the observation, history demonstrates that those who pursue systematic education for ministry are more likely to reach the most influential levels of ministry. Wise ministers have a deep appreciation for education and desire to gain as much preparation as they can.
There are two tracks of ministry preparation, campus-based, degree-granting education and church-based education. Open Bible has premier models, of the highest caliber, on each track.
